[ The video opens to Mitama, though just like in her recent post, she's wearing her "Santa disguise". She's here on an important business, after all. ]
Ho, ho, ho! Thank you for joining our Secret Santa event~ It's time to find out what ─ or rather who ─ your assignment as Santa's Little Helper for this year is! Drumroll, please...
[ She makes a pause for a dramatic effect, her hand slipping into a Santa hat she's holding and pulling out a small piece of paper with a name on it. ]
It's none other than... Ryuunosuke Fujinami, the kindred punching spirit!
Remember, you should present your assignee with a gift of your choice until December 25th! Good luck, and remember: your main task is to spread joy, happiness and the spirit of Christmas cheer!
Miss Santa Coordinator, out!

Miss Santa Coordinator, out!
[It had been such a nice moment, holding Vi while she promises she'll never be rid of her. Caitlyn had went to sleep, knowing Vi would stay by her side, and as she woke, she could feel the familiar body snuggled up to her. Vi's head was on her chest, and she smiled. She open her eye, and looked at Vi, watching her with every rise and fall of her own chest. The way those red locks trail over her face and everywhere else between them. They barely move at night, when holding each other like this, and it fills Caitlyn with a happiness she can't even contain. She goes to brush a lock of red from Vi's face, and it's only as she's moving that she notices something on her finger.
A ring. But she didn't--
She blinks, looking around the room now, and realizing...where she was. This wasn't the Kiramman Estate. This wasn't her bedroom, or her bed, only--- it...was, wasn't it? Things are clicking to place in her mind, as she takes in her surroundings, her heart racing as memories flood her. She gasps softly, feeling as moment of panic as she moves to sit up to the side of the bed, blindly unaware of pushing herself from under Vi. Her head is spinning, and she finds herself reaching up and to the soft violet eye patch resting over her left eye, if just to confirm it's real.
It was real. She left Aldrip, and went home. And now...she was back, wasn't she? And Vi--
She spins back to look at Vi, and she sees the woman she had in her bed at home. She sees the long red hair, and immediately knows the same thing happened to Vi. Will they remember the same things? She doesn't have an answer for that just yet, still trying to process all of this.
How long as she been here, again? Almost a year and a half? Only to leave, go home for eight months, and now return. It was enough to make anyone's head spin, let alone them, who had gone through so fucking much. How long had they even been gone? Not long, if their home was still their home.]
Vi? Vi, wake up-- [She hates to interrupt her beauty sleep, and maybe she already had, with the way she woke up, but she needed her awake. She needed to talk to her.]

[Caitlyn watches as Vi grabs her head, recognizing the ache she had just been feeling. Her head is still spinning, but she's feeling a little bit better, albeit overwhelmed.]
We're back.
[She echos the words, still coming to terms with what that means. How they had lived a whole separate life, left it, forgot it completely, and now they were back?]
Are you alright?
[Her head is still not thrilled to have two lives smashed together, so she's imaging that Vi is equally struggling. She reaches for her, because of course she is, hand cupping the side of Vi's face. It...helps. Grounding herself. Feeling Vi, knowing she's here. Gods, she...can't even imagine, if she was facing this alone, or if she had somehow left and come back, while Vi hadn't. Vi doesn't seem surprised by the eyepatch, and she looks like what she remembers last, so she's really, really hoping that they're on the same page still.]

[It's early in the 25th morning. Most people are still sleeping and the sun is only about to send its first rays to break the darkness of the night sky. But then there is a sudden knock on a door. Huh?! Who could it be! Whenever Vi gets to the door, be it immediately or hours late they will find a christmas wreath with white roses placed on their doorstep. This is also a bottle of alcoholic mulled wine next to the wreath. There might even be snowy (or wet!) small hoof marks leading away from the present. Hm. I wonder, who indeed did deliver this?
On the wreath there is a letter that reads:]
Greetings my fellow Chosen.
Thank you for your support and interests in helping out with strengthening our community. I shall look forward to our continued collaboration in future. In the meantime I wish you the most pleasant and peaceful Christmas. There will be a feast held at the Inn’s tavern for the next 12 days and I welcome you to enjoy it for free. There will be warm food, treats and homemade mead and wine at your disposal.
Merry Christmas.
Signed,
Richard Plantagenet, The Duke of Gloucester
[ooc: There will be no ic mingle log for the feast. But feel free to either handwave or thread it out!]
[Look. Caitlyn left for like FIVE MINUTES. THAT'S ALL!! Why did everything always go to shit when her and Vi were apart?
Needless to say, Caitlyn was not expecting to walk back inside and hear Vi wailing in their bedroom. She rushed to follow the sound, only to find Vi on the floor, crying, surrounded by bottles of alcohol.
Great. What the fuck happened while she was away??
She immediately drops to her side, first looking her over for injuries-- okay, not that. She didn't think that, but-- after everything they've been through, she had to know, before she scoops the crying woman into an embrace.]
Vi-- Vi, it's okay. I'm here now. I'm here.

[Caitlyn pulls Vi close, kissing the top of her head as she just holds her.]
I know, love. I know.
[What else could she even say? She knows exactly how tired Vi is. She knows the pain she's felt, after all the loss she'd been dealt. Life had been so cruel to her. Continued to be cruel, honestly, given they were trapped in Aldrip again. Caitlyn had hoped some good would come from this, and Vi would be able to make amends with Jinx, but something told her that conversation hadn't gone as anticipated.]

[at the seafood shack (that silco owns, naturally), there seems to be some workers dressed up as sharks in front of the establishment to attract some customers. it seems to be achieving quite well as the locals do get drawn in by them flailing their fins around, and directing them inside the double doors.
the gray one, by the looks of their body language, is appearing to be losing some steam at their job though, until a pink one waddles their way out of the restaurant. there is absolutely no way to tell what the two are talking about from afar, but the gray shark eventually disappears inside to leave the pink one out by their lonesome. the person fiddles with their outfit, so their face is shielded away, and dances to lure in future customers.]

[the shark person continues to wiggle and dance until a familiar voice bellows out her name. the individual freezes, and unfortunately, isn't able to look around to see which direction it's coming from (and if it's who she thinks it is, she doesn't have time to unbutton the mouth to help her eyesight either). but the one thing the shark knows is that the voice didn't come from the left of her, so the person begins to waddle away — not very fast, but they're desperately trying to flee the scene.]
[You wake up in a courtroom. You’re not really sure how you got here, just that you’re here. There’s Jerry, sitting at the judges box. For some he might be new, and others he might be familiar or semi-familiar. He scrutinizes you, and then motions to the jury box. There’s a plaque that’s sitting on the outside that says “Council”, but there’s no one sitting there. Everything looks clean and maintained, but there’s no one in the courtroom but you and Jerry.
Weird.]
You are charged with assault.
[There’s something about his expression that makes you think that he might’ve already made up his mind…]
The Council has found you Guilty of this. In order to repent and further your rehabilitation, you have been tasked to show remorse for your crime by helping others through their own resentment and anger and apply it to your own life. If there is no action taken, there will be consequences.
[You wake up back in your bed. You remember everything – Jerry, the jury box, the words he spoke to you. Maybe you remember the words he spoke more vividly than anything else.
However you decide to proceed… there will be consequences.]
[ooc: you have until March 9th to submit your Sentencing HERE Even if your character doesn’t proceed with the Sentencing, you must comment on the NPC inbox for your penalty.
Also, there are effects for ignoring this Sentencing. The longer it takes for Vi to complete her Sentencing, the weaker she becomes. She may find she can't box anymore, or any other exercise or abilities that she had been able to do prior to this Sentencing. If you have any questions about Sentencing, please direct it to the Mod Contact post.]

[It wasn't uncommon for Caitlyn to arrive home to clutter. It wasn't all Vi's, some of hers too, but it was clutter from their lives. Cups and other dishes left behind after quick morning meals, clothes tossed aside and forgotten, papers and notes (usually Caitlyn's) set down or misplaced. It wasn't dirty, just lived in, and Caitlyn loved it.
As awful as Aldrip could be at times, she loved the life they had built together. The sorrow of losing other loved ones still laid heavily on her chest, but at least she had Vi. As long as she had Vi, she could survive the rest.
As she was gathering a few things to take back to their bedroom, her singular blue eye landed on file folders she didn't recognize. The familiar Piltover symbol stood out to her, and she dropped everything else in her hands immediately to grasp the strange papers. She sunk to their couch, starting to flip through the pages of the first one, and her heart sunk. The papers almost fell out of her hands as shock took her, because--
She wasn't expecting this. She wasn't expecting this at all.
The files. The damned files of Vi's imprisonment. The ones she had asked for when she first sought her out in Stillwater, and was told didn't exist. Marcus, that lying bastard, weaseled his dirty fingers into everything. Yes, he was maybe the only reason Vi was still alive, but he was also the reason Vi suffered needlessly for seven years, and she didn't think she could ever forgive him for the tortures Vi went through. She didn't like to talk about it with Caitlyn, but she knew. She saw the way she tensed. Saw the way she avoided talking about prison with anyone that asked. Saw the way nightmares still overtook her, even in Caitlyn's embrace.
She didn't know if she could read this, and yet, she couldn't look away. She couldn't pry it out of her hands or stop, even when every page was worse than the last. The lying about her age. The clear abuse they intentionally put her through. They did this to a child. By the time the last page as been scorched into her brain, tears are rolling down her cheeks.
If she hadn't already restructured Stillwater in her time as Commander, she would be ready to burn the place down right about now.
She doesn't know how long she sat like this, rereading those horrifying words, anger burning in her chest, while tears escaped, but that's how Vi would find her, when she reentered the home.]

[Caitlyn's barely aware of the moment Vi walks in the door. Usually that's one of her favorite moments of the day. They pretend like they haven't seen each other or spent half of the day working together already. Their bodies meet, they kiss and share details about the moments they were apart, and a lot of times... clothes disappear. She might have had dinner already prepped, or ordered something for them, but today, things took a turn.
It's only when Vi rushes to her that she comes back to reality, her blue eye locking eyes with that reddish-pink hair, and all she can think of is a scared child, being tortured.
She's never forgotten the moment she first saw Vi. How she was intimidated by her demeanor, how she was terrified out of her mind, to even be in Stillwater, let alone interacting with a criminal so dangerous they were locked away in placed where the sun never dared to look. Even then, she thought she was stunning, but she wouldn't trade anything for the happy and healthy version of that woman she loved so deeply.
How could anyone have done this to such a kind and warm person? To a fucking child. Gods, she wanted to raise Marcus from the dead and kill him all over again.
Any composure doesn't last long, and she can't even swallow the sob that escapes her as she drops the files and immediately throws her arms around Vi.]
Oh, Violet--

[jinx had never been the type of girl to be punctual when it comes to meet ups. maybe her younger self would have tried her damnedest to be on time to things when it came to housebreaks, but not this present version. except today, she is being very particular with her get together with vi, that for once, is not going to result in a fight, an argument, or any hostile terms.
in a bikini (custom made, naturally) with a basket in hand, and two beach towels tucked under the other, jinx hunts for a spot so the two of them can have lunch, and to relax together in the sun. she told her sibling to meet her here whenever she gets done with whatever she was doing prior to this, and jinx can't help but to wonder how vi will take the news of her new hairdo. they haven't seen each other since last month, only had been speaking through via phone, by which she does feel guilty about her lack of presence.
it gets difficult for her to balance quality time between vi and silco, especially when silco has the tendency to get extremely clingy. from an outside prospective, the codependency might be alarming and a red flag, but his behavior is ordinary to her, so the sirens often, if not always, descends on dead ears, and the red flags lose its vibrant shine. so by that, it does seem she spends more time with her father than her sister, but it definitely has nothing to do with favoritism. that is impossible, but she believes in her sister, and knows she is one of the strongest people she's ever known. vi doesn't need the extra care like her father does, and she can vision vi bouncing back way quicker when she is down and out than her father. not to say silco is a weaker man, no. but he needs an additional calculated time to himself before he can rise from the surface anew.
thus why her decision of keeping her distance from her was so firm. as long as she has caitlyn and her friends, vi can make it through life without her, she believes. she can do whatever she wanted, and be whoever she wanted if she doesn't have to worry about her baby sibling getting in the way of things.
well.
it's neither here or there now, and if they are going to stay in this simulation for who knows for how long, it's better for them to get back on track with how things used to be. as ekko said," it's never too late to build something new, someone worth building it for." and vi is that person who is worth creating something for. with the towels situated side by side on the sand and placing the basket of goodies in the middle, the bluenette pops a squat on her beach towel with a sigh. she then rummages in that said basket for the sunscreen — already feeling the sun kissing her pale skin a little too vigorously for her taste.]
