[at the seafood shack (that silco owns, naturally), there seems to be some workers dressed up as sharks in front of the establishment to attract some customers. it seems to be achieving quite well as the locals do get drawn in by them flailing their fins around, and directing them inside the double doors.
the gray one, by the looks of their body language, is appearing to be losing some steam at their job though, until a pink one waddles their way out of the restaurant. there is absolutely no way to tell what the two are talking about from afar, but the gray shark eventually disappears inside to leave the pink one out by their lonesome. the person fiddles with their outfit, so their face is shielded away, and dances to lure in future customers.]

[Vi's out jogging, even if it's kind of chilly. she's got thicker clothes on than normal at least, but still not so much that she'd get overly hot while she's working out. sometimes the route brings her by the seafood shack, but she generally doesn't pay it any attention. Silco owns it, after all, so she'd rather not even deal.
but the flash of pink makes her slow, stop. she backs up a few steps even, watching the person making the suit dance. the rest of them were all gray... but she remembers that Jinx had a--]

[she calls out, taking a few steps forward. she's not 100% sure, of course, but if she is... she's going to be coming for this sister of hers.]
[the shark person continues to wiggle and dance until a familiar voice bellows out her name. the individual freezes, and unfortunately, isn't able to look around to see which direction it's coming from (and if it's who she thinks it is, she doesn't have time to unbutton the mouth to help her eyesight either). but the one thing the shark knows is that the voice didn't come from the left of her, so the person begins to waddle away — not very fast, but they're desperately trying to flee the scene.]
[it's the reaction that confirms it for her. the freezing in place... and then the awkward waddle as they try to run away.
if Vi wasn't so elated right now, she'd probably laugh at her.]

[she isn't sure where she is heading, or if she is about to hit a dead end. all jinx can register for now is to keep running while trying to get more momentum by balling her fists and using her arms. it's not helping, but she likes to believe it's giving her some speed.
when vi inches closer and goes for the tackle, the shark plummets hard into the ground with a loud OOF, but not without some desperate wiggling underneath her.]
[not the desperate wiggling. maybe if she wasn't in her shark suit, this would be more difficult. but there's a limit on Jinx's range of motion and speed right now that makes it super easy right now.]

[she says, as she just. flat out sits on the other girl, in between her abdomen and chest.]

if she wants to see her little sister's face, now would be the time. she won't clash with her, and would just let her arms fall dead weight to the ground whenever vi decides to shoo them away. and when/if they do finally see face to face, the expression that will greet vi is... default. it's not sadness, anger, or happiness. it's just an everyday look. but she does seem a bit paler than before, more worn-out, and fragile. has she been eating? seldomly, and it's obvious by how her cheeks aren't as chunky.]
