So whenever Vi makes her way over to the farm, she will find Mizuki casually sitting atop a fence that makes up a small enclosure for the larger animals, mostly the grass grazers. Mizuki's braids are in poor shape, so Vi may catch her undoing them. There's a brush in her mouth for when she's done, and a blanket that's been draped around her like a cloak.
...A "cloak" which naturally slides off her, as if in slow motion, before falling to the ground. Because of course it does. ]
[ Mizuki clicks her tongue and is just about to reach for the darn thing when Vi beats her to it. She appears a little jump, and there is blood caked in, blending with the dirt all over her clothes when she turns to face Vi. ]
Hey.
Not much. I'm here. [ She gestures vaguely into the field before them and what can be seen of the Meadowlands.
Well, it's a start that she didn't just shut Vi out and lose her voice again. ]
[ She doesn't answer right away. Just starts to kick her feet idly, feeling like a kid again when they don't reach the ground. It all comes back to her in flashes, in a blur like her own brain is trying to filter out the worst of it. ]
[ Mizuki just keeps going, and she feels herself free-falling straight toward the point. It feels like a faucet has been turned on, but only just a notch. ]

I got them, and it's like it was all a blur until I found myself with everyone else. Everyone... Everyone who went missing, from the forest. [ She sucks in a breath, giving herself a pause, but decides to keep the momentum. ] One of them...
[ Honestly, probably more than one, but she clearly means someone specific. ]
[Vi listens, feeling her skin crawl as she thinks about that time. it was a lot for her too, thinking about feeling so helpless as she couldn't control her impulses at all.

but the mention of him brings a scowl to her face, and she growls low in her throat.]

[she's... going to guess so maybe, considering how dirty Mizuki is and she doesn't seem harmed.]
[ She's scuffed, like she's been in a fight, but probably nothing on the level of what Vi would've seen on their first meeting. Mizuki shivers. ]

I mean, he... he was just going to walk away. His hands, his clothes were... Everything was so clean, but I knew it couldn't be a coincidence to see him standing there.
So when he went to take his knife back from the body, I confronted him.
[ A pause. She doesn't even know if this made a difference in how he acted at all, but... ]
[ Mizuki freezes when Vi states it so plainly. Perhaps she should have just ripped off the band-aid and started with that. It's not as if Vi came off as some saint to abide by the rules, but there was still a part of Mizuki that didn't want to admit it.
There's another part of her that isn't even sure that's really what happened. But in the end, it must have been. ]
It just made it easier for him. For both of us. It's like I could control him. At least, his body. I've never felt anything like that before, even in my Psync sessions.
...And I've never killed. [ No matter what that parchment says. ]
[ She killed a man, Vi. For real this time. Not that Vi ever struck her as someone to lecture her on being a good person. The way she asked her if it was her first might also suggest... that she's also done it.
Still, she watches her expression soften out of bitch mode. ]
